Taus - the peacock resemblance

Taus is a Punjabi music instrument which is shaped as a peacock figure and has 28-30 strings. It is mainly prevalent in Gurmat sangeet. The construction and playing technique is almost similar to that of Dilruba instrument. It produces more resonant and mellow sound since it has a bigger sound box.
