Dhad - the culture cord

The Dhad is a Punjabi folk percussion instrument which is played in a very interesting way. While the tautness of the drum’s skin is controlled by the artist with one hand, the other hand is used for beating the drum. These percussion instruments are popularly used by the ballad singers.
