Saranda-haunting melody

The Saranda is a large bowl shaped string instrument that is normally played with a bow. Since it lends great support to human voice, it is considered an ideal companion especially for a male voice. Generally a Saranda is made from well seasoned one piece of wood and is said to produce a haunting melody which is soothing for the ears.
