Dafli is a percussion instrument (an object which produces a sound when hit) that is prevalent in Punjabi folk music culture. The Punjabi Jorhi is another version of tabla which is prevalent in Sikh tradition of keertan. It has two parts namely, dhamma and purha. These percussion instruments provide rhythmic beats for other instruments to become prominent. |
