Lavani is a popular dance and music form of the state of Maharashtra and of the southern part of Madhya Pradesh. The name Lavani came from the word lavanya, which means beauty. There are two types of Lavani performances – nirguni lavani and shringari lavani. These types of music performances are quite popular in southern India. |
