Qutub Minar and the Iron Pillar

The Qutab Minar and the Iron Pillar, face to face, is a lovely combination of sorts for any visitor to the Qutab Minar complex. Positioned in the courtyard of the Quwwatu’l-Islam, the legendary Iron Pillar belongs to as early as 4th century. The Sanskrit messages engarved in Gupta script and the atypical style of its ‘Amalaka’ capital bears out the date.
