Fatehpuri Masjid, which is located in Chandni Chowk area is among the oldest mosques in Delhi, the capital of India. Built by Fatehpuri Begum, one of the wives of Mughal emperor Shah Jahan, Fatehpuri Masjid is also a brilliant specimen of traditional Mughal architecture. The most striking feature of this mughal mosque is the seven arched opening of the prayer hall. |
