Owing to a super-inflated ambition, Ala-ud-Din intended to erect a second tower of victory double as high as Qutab Minar but unfortunately the tower had reached only 27 meters when he died and afterward there was no one to take over the project. This incomplete tower of Alai Minar is positioned to the north of the Qutab Minar and the mosque. |
