Lion-tailed macaque, the cautious watcher

Living in the rain forests of southern India, lion-tailed macaque is one of the rarest and gravely endangered species on earth. Efforts have been made by Indian government to protect them, who unlike other macaque, avoid humans. A good climber, lion-tailed macaque spends a majority of its life in the upper canopy of tropical forest.
