Lion-tailed macaque is one type of monkey found only in the western ghats of south India. The body of a lion-tailed macaque may be brown or black and it is gifted with whitish mane around his head. Also known as “Beard Ape”, the face of the lion-tailed macaque is black with a head-to-tail length is about 45 to 60 cm. |
