Chimpanzees, often known as chimp, belong to the family of Hominidae. Research by the scientists have shown that the chimpanzees are gifted with high level of intelligence. Primarily inhabitant of West and Central Africa, the common Chimpanzees, along with gorillas and orangutans, are the closest living relatives to humans.
